2nd Quarter 2013 Rent & Vacancy Survey

The Colorado Division of Housing just released its 2nd quarter survey on rents and vacancies for Denver-Metro.  The survey covers Single-Family, Duplex, Triplex, Fourplex, Condominium, and Townhouse rentals.

As expected, vacancies remain low and rents continue to climb, but the survey has all kinds of juicy tidbits for any data junkie.  For instance, if you want to know the average rental rate per square foot broken out by county, this report is for you!  Chock full of cool graphs and data it’s sure to mesmerize the senses.

The take away for me:   I like having rental properties right now and I wish I could buy many many more.  With low interest rates for acquisition, and climbing housing prices, the single family rental market is better than it’s ever been.  I hope to ride that wave for another 5 to 7 years…
